About Us
We took over the stores in November 2000
we hit the ground running and have not stopped since. The store has gone through many changes over the years and has virtually been rebuilt. We have invested in the future of the shop and now believe that its as close to how we envisaged when we first viewed it

We believe the most important thing is to provide a friendly atmosphere and pride ourselves on
giving good old fashioned customer service with a smile. Now, with the latest changes, you can sit and enjoy a nice cup of coffee, pot of tea, hot chocolate (with or without marshmallows) and a slice of Sarah's Cottage Cake. you can also 'surf the net' at our computer station or bring your own laptop and log on through our own secure network

There has been a shop on this site for around 200 years.
records show that a house has stood on this site(possibly a forge) since around the mid 1600s at some point a chapel was attached to the house and it was used as the ministers residence. To help with the funding of the chapel the house had a shop built into it and so Danehill Stores was born.

The Village has also gone through several changes over the years. sadly, like most rural villages it has lost a lot of local services. We are continuing to strive to keep the essential services alive so we always welcome ideas and suggestions.
